Doctors Academy at Caruthers High School

The Doctors Academy (DA) is a rigorous school-within-a-school program at Caruthers High School for students interested in pursuing health professional careers. The program provides academic support and personal development, along with test preparation and opportunities to explore healthcare careers. The program is designed to help students prepare for college and explore pathways to careers in healthcare.

Students participate in a four-year academic program that includes opportunities to take dual-enrollment and Advanced Placement (AP) courses.
The Doctors Academy also offers:

• Study trips to colleges, universities, and health professional schools
• Health-related trainings and certifications
• Summer enrichment and study academies
• Professional development workshops
• Student and Parent conference
• Healthcare professional mentors
• Opportunities for observership experiences in medical and healthcare settings
